The people fight the GOP political machine in Seattle - and win.

King County Washington RINO logo

It not easy standing up for what is right. It's even harder when faced with an entrenched political machine that simply can't let go of power. The caucus for the 37th legislative district of Washington's King County was held on April 21, 2012, amid heavy handed tactics by King County GOP political operative Lori Sotelo. A video of a portion of the proceedings can be viewed below.

As if to set the tone for what was to follow, elected precinct delegates were faced with what amounted to a $10.00 admission charge, to participate in the delegate selection process. Once the caucus had begun, Seattle area REALTOR and Ron Paul supporter Tamra Smilanich, was elected to the position of permanent chair of the caucus, by majority vote.

Upon Ms. Smilanich’s election, Sotelo, King County Republican Party Chairwoman, announced that the caucus to be adjourned, complaining that Smilanich had 'taken over' the caucus, at the behest of the Ron Paul campaign. Sotelo ordered those gathered to vacate the building... More>>

Santorum's exit could be good news - or not

The race for the GOP presidential candidacy just became more interesting. On Tuesday, Rick Santorum dropped his bid for the White House. The reasons are varied. Santorum quit just before facing the April 24 GOP primary in his home state of Pennsylvania. There has been speculation that because he was not expected to win that state in anyone's estimation, he decided to avoid the humiliation of losing there before the entire nation. Santorum gave the best explanation for his bowing out - his campaign is broke. Regardless of the reason, Rick Santorum is out.

The bad

Ron Paul supporters are naturally apprehensive, as our hopes for a ‘brokered convention’ in Tampa this summer which favors Congressman Paul, have been lessened by the move. Had Santorum held to the end, his delegates who are bound to vote for him in the first round of balloting could have switched allegiance after the voting concluded without any candidate receiving enough votes to carry the day. The hope in the Ron Paul camp was that they would move to Dr. Paul. Given the new situation, that strategy is less certain.

The good

Wary of the Mormon Mitt Romney, ‘evangelicals’ have by and large supported Santorum in this election cycle. Ron Paul has already met with an evangelical group to seek their endorsement. This approval would give a huge boost to the Ron Paul campaign.

At least two evangelical leaders have already endorsed Congressman Paul. Last January,  Dr. James Linzey, president and founder of the Military Bible Association, threw his support behind Dr. Paul. In the typical fashion of the censored, controlled American press, the story received no attention.

More recently, Pastor Steven Andrew of USA Christian Ministries, announced his support of the Paul campaign, stating “After Santorum, Ron Paul is the most God-fearing Presidential candidate and the Republican party should endorse him.” He added, “If Republicans don't give a Christian candidate, Christians should look elsewhere – even to a third party.

Even more good

There is another possible benefit of Santorum's exit from the race and the news media is inadvertently playing into the hands of Ron Paul supporters on this one. Because the major media outlets are trying to convey the impression that the GOP race is essentially over, many Republicans who might go to the polls in support of Romney in a 'contested race,' may just stay home. After all, why should they bother voting when their vote doesn't matter?

This would be of great benefit to the Ron Paul camp. We Ron Paul supporters are zealous in our support of our candidate. We also do not believe nor trust the mainstream media. We will vote regardless of the weather or political climate. Like our candidate himself, we cannot be bought, sold, or traded. We are not loyal to any political party or machine and will vote for Dr. Paul, regardless of party affiliation. And that scares the pudding out of the established order.

Strange bedfellows

There can be little doubt that the corrupt GOP political machine is wetting themselves, frantic to avoid the possibility that will have to recognize Ron Paul to be a legitimate candidate. They have invested too much time and effort cheating Dr. Paul and his supporters to quit now. It is rumored that GOP insiders are alternately  begging, then threatening front-runner Romney, to name Santorum as his running mate, in the hope that evangelical Republican voters will hold their noses and vote for a Romney-Santorum ticket in the voting booth this fall. Romney has refused to rule such a thing out. The success of such a strategy is far from certain.  Mormonism is considered to be a cult in the thinking of most mainstream Christians and to many of them, the thought of voting for a Mormon is distasteful.

And lest we forget

Newt Gingrich, the 'also ran' candidate, has all but dropped out of the race. Newt is 4 million in debt and his ego-centric campaign has left him bankrupt.  As if the man is beyond being embarrassed, Newt bounced a $500 check sent to the Utah elections office to pay for the filing fee required to insure his place on the ballot. Gingrich has about one week to make the check good before he is locked out of the Utah state primary. When asked by reporters about this serious sign that his campaign is dead, Newt downplayed the issue, calling it a "goofy mistake." One need not be a seer to understand that Newt's entire campaign has been a 'goofy mistake.'

Conclusion

Ron Paul has been endorsed by at least one Christian evangelical group. With the pending endorsement of even more such associations, the Ron Paul campaign enters new and exciting territory. With the advocation of one traditional base of GOP support, the news media will have a difficult time ignoring Dr. Paul's candidacy - and that must be causing them to lose sleep. They have tried to pretend that he doesn't exist. They have marginalized his popular views and have tried to push him to the to 'the back of the bus'. They have done all they can to marginalize his supporters. In the end, they may have to accept him. And that would be sweet!

For those who stand for the cause of liberty there can be only two choices for president: Ron Paul, or no one at all.

The myth of free and fair elections - voters be damned

Rob·ber·y [rob-uh-ree]
Noun, plural -ber·ies.
1. The act, the practice, or an instance of robbing.
2. Law . The felonious taking of the property of another from his or her person or in his or her immediate presence, against his or her will, by violence or intimidation.
As children, we were taught that America was the freest nation in the world. We were told that the bedrock of the American system of government was free and fair elections. The evidence speaks to the contrary.

At the March 6 North Dakota caucus, Ron Paul did very well, beating Mitt Romney, being edged into second place by first place finisher Rick Santorum, by about 1,300 votes. Although having received only 28% of the votes, Romney walked away with 64% of the delegates one week later. This brazen example of politics as usual in the North Dakota Republican party should leave the voters in that state furious. They have been robbed.

According to eyewitnesses, nearly 1700 state delegates appeared at the state convention to choose 101 delegates to represent North Dakota at the August national convention in Tampa. Rather than getting a ballot for those 101 delegates, they instead got a ballot with 25 pre-selected delegates and 25 blank lines. The attendees were told that they could choose from a list of names projected onto screens. The majority of the pre-selected were Romney supporters. In short, the caucus was rigged by GOP insiders.

Contrary to state rules, a second paper ballot with the names of all 101 nominees for delegate spots was not even prepared. Thus, the North Dakota State Executive Committee vies with the St. Charles County, Missouri for the title of the most corrupt Republican political machine in the nation.

One person commenting on the thwarting of the 'democratic process' stated:
The GOP needs to be penalized an the process redone correctly and if the police won't enforce justice we need a [militia] or citizen revolt team to go deal with the situation and arrest the GOP in ND and demand the delegation be disqualified and the process done over fairly...they need to be arrested.. These are the seeds of WAR being planted!!!
Another poster noted:
This type of crap is exactly what typically starts rioting, and armed conflict. When the common people are left without a legal, peaceful means of revolting, they will do so by illegal, non-peaceful methods. It is this type of behavior which will be the spark in the powder keg that makes it all go up in smoke!
GOP be warned, hopefully people will only flee from your ranks, and let you die on the vine, and/or take you over from within. But you are playing with fire, and I pray that those rubbed the wrong way by your dictator like actions will keep a cool head a little while longer. Revolution is coming, by which means will be determined by actions like this.
These sentiments are echoed by a large number of Americans who are tired of being played for suckers by a criminal government and equally criminal political parties, of both stripes. The facade of 'free and fair elections' is crumbling, along with our standard of living, and Americans are angry.

Conclusion

The political process in this nation is diseased. Our politicians have become a cancer which prey upon the good people of this land and there are only two cures for the malady. One is an honest political process where the will of the people is heard and obeyed. The other is the distasteful prospect of political violence.  Given the fact that our government is making laws which prevent us from exercising our God given rights,  including but not limited to the NDAA, it is only reasonable to conclude that they are doing everything they can to ensure that this nation is pushed into a civil war.

Ron Paul is the only candidate who will obey the Constitution, and he is the ONLY hope for a bright future for this once great but now, tyrannical country. For every liberty minded American there can be only two choices for president: Ron Paul or nobody at all.

The 2012 'media blackout'

Imagine if you will, the following scenario. You turn on the local television station in time to hear the following weather report on New Year's day:
“ Well, the thermometer has topped 100 degrees today and the national weather service reports that the heat wave is going to continue until at least the beginning of spring. It looks like it's time to crank up the air conditioner.”
Meanwhile, you look out of your front window and see your vehicle buried under 5 feet of snow. Would you believe weatherman? Although common sense tells you to ignore the report and distrust the man himself, millions of Americans are ignoring their own common sense, believing what they are told by the mainstream media. Nowhere is this phenomena of willful ignorance more evident than it is in the ‘news’ reporting on the 2012 GOP caucuses.

Despite the evidence that Ron Paul is more popular with Republican voters than the other contenders for the GOP nomination, the mainstream media by and large continues to ignore him. More>>
