Ron Paul or revolution?

The thought is almost unimaginable. That the United States could descend into civil war is unthinkable to most Americans. Even though the idea of an uprising among members of the United States Armed Forces seems to be remote, there are indications that conditions exist such as would make such a thing not only possible, but likely.

After more than 10 years of fighting a war in Iraq and Afghanistan which has produced little if any benefit to the security of America, our troops are becoming weary to the point where discipline is beginning to unravel. As troop morale continues to plummet, more incidents occur which indicate that our troops have passed the emotional breaking point. The drugging of the troops is only making the situation worse. Consider the following:

In a report written in June of 2010 by freelance writer Michael Hastings and titled “The Runaway General,” General Stanley McChrystal openly criticized President Barack Obama’s prosecution of the war in Afghanistan. The General who was tremendously popular with the troops, was forced to resign under pressure from the White House after the article was published in Rolling Stone magazine.

The article includes many unflattering statements by McChrystal and his staff about the President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, special envoy Richard Holbrooke, ambassador to Afghanistan Karl Eikenberry, by whom the general said he felt “betrayed”. McChrystal also said about the ambassador: "Here's one that covers his flank for the history books. Now, if we fail, they can say 'I told you so.'"

The General characterized his initial meeting with the president, saying he "was pretty disappointed" with Obama’s state of preparedness and that the president seemed "uncomfortable and intimidated" at the meeting. McChrystal portrayed National Security Adviser, retired Marine Gen. Jim Jones as being a “clown.” The General's aides mocked Vice President Joe Biden’s last name, noting that it was similar to the phrase “Bite me.” Also reported, was a statement allegedly made by McChrystal, describing the “real enemy” being “The wimps in the White House."

President Obama is said to be "furious" about the General's remarks, and ordered McChrystal to personally attend the monthly White House meeting on Afghanistan and Pakistan, in lieu of the usual secure video teleconference.

The president has been criticized before for his handling of the war in Afghanistan, but this was the first time that such a denunciation has been made publicly by a high ranking member of the military.

Troops march on the White House - against orders

On February 20, 2012, hundreds of active duty U.S. servicemen and women marched on the White House in support for of Ron Paul and his plan to end these expensive military excursions. This protest was held despite orders from their superior officers to avoid it.

Poor military leadership leads to murder

More recently, one Sgt. Robert Bales has been arrested by military Police for the murder of 17 Afghan civilians, apparently suffering a mental breakdown from the stress of having serving multiple tours of duty in the no-win conflict.

Obama fears mutiny in the armed forces

Shortly thereafter, U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta went to Afghanistan to address the troops. As if to underscore the acknowledgement that 'mutiny is in the air,'  Panetta refused to meet with them unless they were disarmed first. Having our soldiers disarm in a war zone is unfathomable and unprecedented.

The sacrifice of our war dead has been despised by the American political machine

While members of our military give up their lives in the belief that they are preserving “freedom” and “democracy,” evidence continues to surface that their sacrifices have been in vain. Election fraud - mainly against presidential candidate Ron Paul, is rampant. In spite of this, the fraud continues unabated while the mainstream media looks the other way. What makes this even more alarming, is that the troops overwhelmingly support Ron Paul over the other candidates. This loyalty will only grow as the situation progresses.

It may be difficult to grasp the concept that a popular armed rebellion might occur in this nation among our military, but such things have happened in the past with less provocation than has been seen recently in this nation. The troops are angry over being sent to war for no better reason than enrich the rich and powerful.

History: It has happened on a smaller scale in America in the past

It happened immediately following WWII. Soldiers who had returned from "fighting for freedom and democracy," faced a corrupt political machine in Athens, McMinn County, Tennessee.  That machine brazenly stole elections without fear of reprisal. The fraud was reported to the U.S. Department of Justice. Those complaints were ignored. In August of 1946, the soldiers took the law into their own hands. The incident was dramatized in the 1992 made for TV movie 'The Battle of Athens.' The crucial portion of that movie can be viewed below.

Conclusion

The parallels between the situation in Athens Tennessee in 1946 and America in 2012 are striking. The real question is not whether our soldiers will rebel, but rather how long can they continue to fight a losing war that has no benefit to America and has no end in sight. Will they allow the 2012 election to be stolen from them? Men and women will endure almost any hardship for a just cause. Conversely, they will rarely suffer as a consequence for being led to slaughter by incompetent leaders who are focused only on their own gain.

Ron Paul is the only candidate for president that recognizes what our fighting men and women already know - America is being ruined by warmongers who are bankrupting the country. Make no mistake, the constant foreign wars our leaders continue to prosecute on the backs of the average citizens must stop - whether by courageous leadership or national financial ruin. It is our hope that leadership will win the day, but there is only one leader who can be counted upon to do the right thing. His name is Dr. Ron Paul.

If history teaches us anything in this situation, it is this: When ballots fail, bullets prevail. We can hope for the best, but if we are prudent, we must expect the worst and be prepared for it. This nation was born in blood. It may yet bathe in it once more if it is to again become free. This author hopes it is not the case, but fears that it just may be.

For every liberty minded American there can only be two choices for president: Ron Paul or nobody at all.

Brainwashed by the American media

The freedom of the American press is an object many of us cherish. We proudly compare ourselves to other countries using the standard of the perception that we have unabridged liberty of expression in our media. Despite this, the freedom of our press is more hype than reality. With the exception of a few independent newsletters and micro-publishers, there is no truly free press in America.

[Receive notification of the latest articles on Twitter]

Nowhere is this more evident than in press reports on the 2012 presidential campaign. The bought and paid for mass media in America alternately reviles, then ignores candidate Ron Paul despite his apparent popularity with a large segment of Americans. This intentional incognizance has reached proportions bordering on the absurd . During the televised debates, Dr. Paul was often passed over in the questioning. During CNN’s South Carolina debate, the audience objected so loudly to this, that the moderators were forced to ask Dr. Paul the same questions as the others. The same network ignored the results of its own polls when they indicated that Ron Paul was indeed the most popular candidate of the people.

This journalistic paradigm is not new

The illusion of freedom of the press has perhaps never been better articulated by anyone than journalist John Swinton. In the late 19th century, he was honored a banquet given him by his peers. A toast was made by one of his fellows to the independent press. Swinton then responded with the truth about what he had learned about the American press:
"There is no such thing, at this date of the world's history, in America, as an independent press. You know it and I know it.
There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone.
The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it, and what folly is this toasting an independent press?
We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."
[Source: Labor's Untold Story, by Richard O. Boyer and Herbert M. Morais, published by United Electrical, Radio & Machine Workers of America, NY, 1955/1979.]

More than 100 years later, his words are more true than they have ever been. The mainstream press presents only a superficial, one sided view of what occurs in the world. What is accepted by the public as news, is little more than an amalgam of falsehoods, half-truths, and propaganda. Plainly stated, the goal of the mainstream media is to manipulate your though patterns so that you will continue to be malleable, impressionable sheep, content with your lot.

How they do it

The illusion that we have a free and independent press, relies upon the fact that censorship is not accomplished with violent force today, but with the prudent use of economics by those who have the means and the agenda to accomplish it. Those who “report” what passes for news, accept without criticality, whatever the government feeds them.

When a President justifies war by claiming that the enemy has “weapons of mass destruction,” the press reports it as fact. Later, when the undeniable truth that America has been lied to surfaces, the press will then publish the governments new justification, again uncritically. By the time the charade has been fully disclosed, America is committed and the American people must resign themselves to the fait accompli. Most Americans know they are being lied to and yet, despite this history of betrayal by the media, America continues to drink from the poisoned trough of mainstream “news.” The cycle repeats itself with no apparent end in sight.

News “anchors” who are not practicing journalists but are mere teleprompter readers, command huge salaries. Network news anchors, are paid millions of dollars to sell you on the idea that they can be trusted. They are mere TV stars, entertaining you as your critical thinking skills fall asleep before them.

Why they do it

The amount of money poured into the mass media for the purpose of deceiving Americans is staggering. Consider just one American corporations efforts at manipulating public opinion. General Electric, which at one time touted that “We bring good things to life” also kills them through weapons production. GE also happens to own 49% of NBC.

We all want to have leaders we can look up to, depend upon and a news media that we can trust. Unless and until we have either a news media with integrity that reports in truth, or a leader that will force the issue by his own good example, such things can never be. The facts are that the government lies and the media covers for them.

Conclusion

Ron Paul is the only candidate in place that can restore faith in the office of president.  We all want to believe that America is the freest nation on earth. Until there is a triumph of fact over fiction in our press, we can never be truly free.  Electing Ron Paul is the first step in that process.  For those who seek truth in the political process there can be only two choices for president: Ron Paul, or no one at all.

A look back: The electoral deception of 2008

In the 2008 presidential election the American people were set up like bowling pins. Despite the claim that the American people chose Obama that they might have “hope,” it is important to realize that the main thing Obama had going for him in the election is that he was not John McCain.

The plain truth is that neither of the two main political parties has the best interests of the common people in mind. They are all self glorifying, uncaring (expletive deleted) who seek to please the moneyed interests who in turn, pay the politicians for their support. Though they often come pretending to care about our welfare, they in reality serve themselves.

[Receive notification of the latest articles on Twitter]

This author's take on the 2008 election (selection really because WE THE PEOPLE have had little or no voice in which candidates are put on the ballot) is that the socialists (Democrats if you prefer) had expected that Hillary Clinton would win. McCain, far from having a legitimate shot at becoming president, was merely a fall guy. He played the part of the 'good soldier' who would take a hit for the good of his party.

After Bush, Dick Cheney and the others so raped the American people while draining the economy to satisfy their personal avarice, nobody in their right mind would vote Republican, save for a few die-hard Republicans who held their noses in the voting booth while selecting McCain. Not that electing McCain would have changed anything. The move towards socialism would have simply worn another mask.

Fooling the masses to embrace socialism

Those who profit from the socialist agenda had hoped to have their left leaning candidate Hillary Clinton 'elected.' Of course, to have a woman elected to the presidency (especially Hillary,) one needed an opponent who had an even more serious deficit. They needed someone who was unelectable but who would be articulate enough and would put up enough of a fight to make the show look real. They chose Obama because he had a seemingly incurable defect; Obama was black.

McCain could not win because he was associated with the fascist party of G.W.Bush and Obama was also expected to lose because of race. The Dems did miscalculate in that Hillary was so odious to even her own party that Obama looked good in comparison. In essence, the fight was rigged. The truth is that the fight has always been rigged, at least in our lifetimes. No matter, Obama would play ball with anyone who could insure his place at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Who would dare to oppose him? The major news media is too fearful of holding Obama to the same standard to which they have held those who have gone before him, all for fear of being branded ‘racist.’ Those who say that Fox News is opposing him, cannot understand that Fox is merely presenting a facade, a fake front to act to diffuse the expected social discontent. Performing the function of a lightning rod, they are in effect, a paper tiger.

The deception

The Democrats and the Republicans are merely two sides of the same coin. Americans cannot understand this because they are manipulated, managed, massaged and led by television. It is classic mind control. Those in power have used proven thought stopping techniques to keep Americans from thinking for themselves.

The mechanism

Those who oppose Obama will be and are portrayed to be 'racist.' Had Hillary been elected, the same people would be branded 'sexist.' By infusing highly charged, emotional buzzwords into their arguments, the manipulators are guaranteed victory as, by and large, Americans have lost their ability to discern, to discriminate (another word which has taken on negative connotations) between right and wrong. So, when things get too cold, America is encouraged to jump into the fire without considering the consequences, convinced that they have no reasonable alternative. And jump they do.

As in the past, the people will take sides, rooting for one of two opposing teams in a rigged game. Tempers will flare, passions will ignite. While the media directs our attention to the political magician's hand waiving in the air, few will notice that his other hand is in their pocket. The masses will again turn to their TV and will return to the illusion that their political views and actions matter.

As they sit passively while being programmed, none consider the fact that their perception is but fantasy, an electronic hallucination meant to keep them docile. Meanwhile, the conspiracy continues unnoticed and those who truly control things from behind the scenes laugh at the ignorant masses. They mock the sheep in derision as the livestock frantically run to and fro, blind to the reality that they are being led to the shearing arena, then to the slaughterhouse.

The evidence

Keep this in mind: When America sold out to China, who was the advance man? Was it a liberal Democrat who would be easily opposed politically? No. It was Richard Nixon, the ‘staunch anti-Communist.’ He and then Chinese premier Chou En-lai drank a toast to the building of “a new world order.” Is it mere coincidence that the Chinese military were given a lease on the Long Beach California Naval Station? It was only under intense pressure from the locals that the Long Beach Harbor Commission voted to cancel the lease. A similar deal with the Chinese was more successful. They now have a strategic position at both ends of the Panama Canal.

When America surrendered to the Soviet Union (they called it 'détente'), who was it who made the deal? Why, it was that old 'right-wing-warrior' Ronald Reagan. Socialism moves forward masquerading as free enterprise and Democracy. Of course, most Americans simply cannot get their heads around the concept. The behind the scenes string-pullers know this and move forward, confident in the belief that the people have not the cognitive ability to comprehend the bigger picture.

Consider these facts: Prior to the declaration of war on Afghanistan and Iraq (or shortly thereafter), Bush 'borrowed' at least $750 billion from China. Now, Chinese Maj. Gen. Luo Yuan, has called for economic warfare against the U.S. over arms sales to Taiwan and urged selling off China's $750 billion in holdings of U.S. debt securities to cripple the nation. The same amount ($750 billion) was used to prosecute the war for profit in Iraq. In 2008, the same amount ($750 billion) was withdrawn from the American economy, causing what became known as the 'banking crisis.'

Is it really that much of a stretch of intellect to understand what has happened? We the people have been deceived and sold out to the highest bidder. Connect the dots.

The difference between 2008 and 2012

In 2008, Ron Paul ran as an independent. As such, he was marginalized by the press. He saw exactly what was happening and chose a different tack for 2012. Since the Republican party shows such willingness to take a dive in the last round of the presidential title fight, Dr. Paul threw his hat into the ring in 2012 and began fight for all he is worth.

In 2008, Barack Obama made use of the internet in the election. In 2012, the Ron Paul campaign has surpassed Obama in proficiency relative to use of the internet. That skill is being used to propagate the message of Ron Paul to an audience far wider than that found in America. His message is one of freedom and liberty. The tyrants of the world recoil in horror at the prospect that their people might too dream of freedom and worse, that they might fight to be so. We must also fight to be free.

Conclusion

The 'powers that be' are Hell bent upon taking away our God given freedoms which have been enumerated in the Declaration of Independence. The Democrat and Republican parties have shown that neither cares to carry out the will of the people. Each side bears responsibility for what has happened.

Our children and elderly are being molested at airports all around the country in the name of national security. These incidents represent only the very tip of the iceberg that lies beneath. Leaders of both Democrat and Republican parties have signed off on the project. Neither of them consider that security cannot be had at the price of bondage.

A nation of prosperous, content people is a nation that is secure. A nation that makes its citizens the enemy can never be secure. If we can win this battle with ballots, there will be no need to fight it later with bullets. To expend sweat today for a righteous cause is to forgo the shedding blood for the same cause tomorrow.

For freedom loving Americans there are only two choices for president: Ron Paul or no candidate at all.

The great GOP election fraud of 2012

The charge is all too familiar. Ron Paul supporters are “conspiracy nuts.” The bought and paid for mass media in America alternately reviles, then ignores him, claiming that he has no support among “mainstream voters.” The facts suggest otherwise.

[Receive notification of the latest articles on Twitter]

Where hundreds appear in rallies in support of the other GOP presidential candidates, thousands flock to endorse Dr. Paul. None of the other candidates can muster as much enthusiasm as does Ron Paul. Just as it's true that Dr. Paul cannot be bought, it is likewise genuine that his supporters cannot be sold. They will not vote for any other presidential hopeful – and for this reason the powers that be quake to their very souls in fear. Read more>>
